TEN Rules of Honesty in Reasoning with the BIBLE, … ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE!

(All of the following Scriptures are quoted from the “New World Translation”)

1.  “…TEST the inspired expressions…” (“…TEST… statements…” in the newer Grey NWT Bible). 1 John 4:1

2.  “KEEP testing whether you are IN THE faith,…” (not just whether you have a faith). 2 Corinthians 13: 5

3.  Follow the commandments of CHRIST! John 14: 15, 21; John 15: 10; Matthew 28: 18 – 20; Be Obedient to CHRIST! 2 Corinthians 10: 5 & 6 ; Be in union with CHRIST as HE taught! Colossians 2: 6 & 7                 Ones that have doubts [or ones questioning], show them mercy! Jude 22, 23; Be FULL of MERCY James 3:17

4.  “Commands of men as doctrines” amounts to being “vain” “worshiping” Christ said. Matthew 15: 3 – 11

5.  Watch out for the leaven meaning teachings of the Pharisees! Matthew 16: 6, 12, Mark 8: 15;  AVOID TWISTING Scriptures 2 Peter 3: 14 – 16;  Avoid deception, philosophy of traditions of men.  Colossians 2:8.     Do NOT be hypocritical James 3:17

6.  Do not ADD, do not SUBTRACT from the Scriptures that was already written!

Deuteronomy 4:2 “You must not add to the word that I am commanding you, neither must you take away from it, so as to keep the commandments of Jehovah your God that I am commanding you.”   Deuteronomy 12: 32  “Every word that I am commanding you is what you should be careful to do. You must not add to it nor take away from it.”  We should agree, that God’s “word” is the Bible.

Words that were ADDED by dishonest Bible… “substitutes” and “substituting” at 2 Corinthians 5: 20

Scriptures that were omitted from the new “Newer” dishonest Bibles. John 7: 53 and John 8: 1-11.

7.  BIBLE is the ONLY Authority and final word, NO person, NO organization can change the BIBLE’S “good news”. The “good news” is FROM the FIRST CENTURY and Christ, nothing should be added later!

Galatians 1:8 & 9 “However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond what we declared to you as good news, let him be accursed.   As we have said above, I also now say again, Whoever it is that is declaring to you as good news something beyond what you accepted, let him be accursed.”

8.  Teachings must CLEARLY be backed up by the BIBLE to be true.

2 Timothy 3:16 & 17 “All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight…” God’s word is truth.  John 17:17;  God’s words are faithful and true. Rev. 22:6

Must be ACCURATE knowledge. 1 Timothy 2:3 & 4   God does not lie and does not change.  Heb. 6:17 & 18

9.  Interpretations belong to God

Genesis 40: 8 “At this they said to him: “We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter with us.” So Joseph said to them: “Do not interpretations belong to God? …”

2 Peter 1: 20 & 21, “For you know this first, that no prophecy of Scripture springs from any private interpretation.  For prophecy was at no time brought by man’s will, but men spoke from God as they were borne along by holy spirit.”

10.  Do NOT go “beyond the things written”, that is a RULE…….. NOT just a suggestion!

1 Corinthians 4: 6 : “Now, brothers, these things I have transferred so as to apply to myself and A·pol′los for your good, that in our case you may learn the [rule]: “Do not go beyond the things that are written,” in order that you may not be puffed up individually in favor of the one against the other.”

( Different Translations of Bibles should be compared to find errors, omissions, additions and dishonesty. There are also “Interlinear” Bible references and the “Diaglot” to check for the original words and meanings.  No matter what religion we follow instead of Christ, each person should be honest enough to accept real truth found in the Bible, instead of following MEN and their teachings.)
